Competitive cheerleading, also known as All-Star cheerleading, is a competition sport where a team performs a two-and-a-half-minute long routine comprised of stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dance choreographed to music. Teams compete based on their age and
skill-level. All-Star Cheer differs from school cheer because it is not affiliated with a school or sports team, and there is no chanting or sideline aspect. Teams practice in a gym and attend multiple competitions throughout the competition season from November-May. There are local, national, and international competitions held throughout the season and All-Star teams will travel to compete at various different competitions.
Northern Arizona Elite is the newest All-Star Cheer program in Arizona, located in Flagstaff and partnered with The Flagstaff Gymnastic Center. Our goal is to build a competitive program open to athletes of all ages and skill levels, and compete both locally and nationally!
NAE is currently offering All-Star cheer classes for beginner to advanced athletes to learn stunting, tumbling, and other cheer skills. This is a great class both for beginners to learn more about cheer, and intermediate to advanced athletes to get prepped for tryouts!
The competition season is running now until the end of April. Athletes are going to perform a 2.5 minute routine built throughout the season in three competitions.
